You're not here to work—you're here to be observed. 

As a newly assigned intern at a sprawling, faceless corporation, you've been invited to participate in a "highly immersive internal assessment." You're told it's routine. You're told it's important. You're advised to follow the tasks: photocopy files, deliver reports, sort forms, and clean rooms.

The office feels unsettling. It's too quiet, too sterile. Instructions seem to shift unexpectedly. Cameras linger a bit too long. Co-workers speak in strangely rehearsed phrases. The walls hum with an artificial silence.

And yet, the system continues to operate without comment. Your badge still works. The tasks keep arriving. Every interaction feels like a test you weren't aware you were undertaking.

You begin to realize: the goal isn't to finish the work. The goal is to observe how you behave while performing it.
